“It’s a Fantastic Object” – Angela Missoni

Common idioms, phrases, and wishes that are stuck onto the windows of taxis, trucks, and public buses in Lebanon: "So that Qana (massacre) is not forgotten"; "The envious do not prevail"; "Your satisfaction (is what's important) my mother in law"; "Your satisfaction my wife"
The fast becoming cult Bokja Bug was the toast of the town at Milan Salone 2010.
Salvaged from Beirut’s streets, Bug was resurrected by the Bokja Girls into a burst of colour, textiles and life and fast embodied the girl’s ethos and philosophy of the (re)discovery of old character’s lives and memories through fabric.
The Bug travelled to Milan Salone 2010 where it was the main attraction and was auctioned off to raise funds for the the Children of Haiti through Fondazione Francesca Rava, N.P.H. Italia Onlus.
Who bought it? Angela Missoni (Yes, of Missoni fashion fame and one of Milan’s most respected families)
Why? “Because its a fantastic object!”
